Developed by Guang-Li biomedicine and Taipei medical university hospital, cancer patients can hope to be treated

Cell therapies are now officially legalized and allowed in Taiwan for treatments for over 12 kinds of solid cancers.

Such as colorectal cancer, breast cancer, lung cancer, cervical cancer, ovarian cancer, kidney cancer, liver cancer, pancreatic cancer, nasopharyngeal cancer, stomach cancer, esophageal cancer, and cholangiocarcinoma.

New cancer treatments are being developed to help treat terminal cancer patients.

Guang-Li Biomedicine and Taipei Medical University Hospital led Taiwan’s medical and research industry as they developed the “Immuno-cell Therapy”.

This allows the use of autologous cells to treat cancer which uses the human body system to decimate every cancer tumor cell in the patients’ body.

And this has helped lengthen life expectancy and cure many cancer patients. Contrary to when cancer was deemed incurable.

According to Mr. Lee Kuan Der (deputy dean of Taipei Medical University Hospital), “The clinical trial of the hospital and Guang-Li Biomedicine has been approved”.

He added, “Highly active Cytokine-induced killer cells (CIK) can be used on first- to third-stage cancer patients that do not respond to treatment effects, as well as patients in the fourth phase of solid cancer, which is currently a more effective way to prolong life and cure cancer than other therapies”.

This new treatment method is the new generation of ammunition in treating cancer. Unlike the past methods of removing the cancer tumor cells externally through procedures such as surgeries, chemotherapy and radiation therapy.

Also, Taiwan has allowed treatments of autologous chondrocyte transplantation, autologous fat stem cell transplantation, skin repair, wound healing, and articular cartilage regeneration.

All of which expands the scope of the biomedical industry in Taiwan.
