Professor Philippe Roingeard

Dr Philippe Roingeard obtained a Pharm D (1984) and a PhD in Cell Biology and Virology (1988) at the François Rabelais University in Tours, France, prior to get a position of Research Associate in the Department of Cancer Biology at the Harvard School of Public Health (1988-1991). He is currently professor of Cell Biology at the François Rabelais University and hospital practitioner at the University Hospital in Tours. He is the head of the research team INSERM U 966 “Morphogenesis and antigenicty of HIV and hepatitis viruses” in Tours. He has recently developed the concept of a bivalent vaccine against hepatitis B and hepatitis C viruses (http://cvscience.aviesan.fr/cv/255/philippe-roingeard).
