As a Senior Conference Producer, you will be responsible for creating and delivering high-impact conferences within the biopharma and life sciences sectors. This role demands a mix of market research, project management, and stakeholder engagement to develop compelling conference content, ensuring both scientific relevance and commercial viability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct in-depth market research and trend analysis in biopharma and biotech to identify key topics and emerging trends.
  • Develop, design, and execute commercially successful conference programs that cater to industry needs.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (sales, marketing, operations) to ensure alignment with commercial goals.
  • Identify, approach, and secure high-level industry experts, thought leaders, and speakers.
  • Manage the end-to-end process of conference production, including agenda creation, speaker liaison, and event logistics.
  • Maintain and build relationships with key stakeholders, sponsors, and partners.
  • Analyze event performance and gather feedback to improve future events.
  • Lead a portfolio of events and identify opportunities for new launches.

Sales and Revenue Responsibilities:

  • Drive revenue growth by working closely with sales and marketing to ensure the commercial success of events.
  • Identify sponsorship opportunities and collaborate with the sales team to secure partnerships.
  • Monitor and manage event P&L, ensuring profitability targets are met or exceeded.
  • Contribute to new business development strategies to identify and validate potential new conferences.

    Ability to identify key industry trends and emerging topics within the biopharma and lifesciences sectors.

    Expertise in managing multiple events from conception to execution, including agenda creation, speaker management, and logistics.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in life sciences, business, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in conference production within biopharma or life sciences.
  • Strong market research, project management, and content creation skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for liaising with industry leaders and stakeholders.
  • Proven track record of delivering commercially successful events and meeting revenue targets.
  • Proficiency in managing multiple projects with tight deadlines.
  • Knowledge of the biopharma and life sciences industries, with an understanding of industry trends and regulatory developments.
